Cotton bleaching

CDB - Callebaut de Blicquy technology for bleaching of cotton fibres uses high density cakes. These cakes are handled in material carriers, which can easily be moved from a loading press towards the bleaching kiers. Raw cotton is highly resilient, so after pressing it always returns to its initial volume.

With the CDB technology, the cotton cakes are perfectly homogeneous. It contains no cracks or preferential channels. This method ensures a higher efficiency of bleaching and results in a better average quality of bleached cotton. An extra advantage is that there is less manipulation or handling of the cotton throughout the process, so a lower operational cost.

A single cake can have a height of 2.2m, but can also be split into smaller sections by means of intermediate plates.
